Through brand separation, strategic positioning, and an education-first website, we helped TPM Placement define what it had been quietly doing right all along.

Maria Considine-King had been running a successful practice management consulting firm for years when she noticed something unusual about her second business: it didn’t really exist—at least not in any way the outside world could easily see.
Transcend Practice Management became a fixture in the independent advisory world. When firms needed help with business strategy, succession planning, managing staff, or planning for growth, they called Maria.

And when they needed to hire a service advisor, lead advisor, paraplanner, or any other role, they called her again.
What started as an informal favor turned into TPM Placement, a staffing firm focused entirely on the specific hiring needs of financial advisory practices.

Business was strong, but it ran almost entirely on referrals which could mean unpredictable pipelines and capped growth.

"Chien Industries built a website for a new business line that we launched as our second company, and we were thrilled with their work. They made our firm look big, important, and well-established even though we are just a small start-up with 15 people. Their ideas were excellent and she has a great take on marketing. We would recommend her highly!"

The ask
Justin and Maria wanted what most founders eventually do: stability. They wanted a predictable, sustainable flow of clients so their team could plan around workloads instead of reacting to them. They also wanted the business to stand on its own, distinct from the consulting firm that had unintentionally given it life.

Identity

Language

Presence
When they approached Chien Industries, the TPM Placement was a subpage inside the Transcend Practice Management website, a blending of consulting and staffing that made the offering difficult to understand. The page was dated, thin, and offered little sense of the deep regulatory knowledge and operational sophistication that set the firm apart.
Lone Page

Quiet
The value was there but the story wasn’t.
Undersold
A highly specialized business presented like a generalist service.

Maria and Justin knew they weren’t like other recruiters. They truly understood financial advisory firms, how they work, who they hire, and what actually matters. But outside their network, almost no one knew they existed.
They grew through referrals, which was great, but revenue
felt unpredictable and growth felt capped. Most firms did not realize a niche staffing partner like this was an option so they kept hiring the wrong way and wondering why it felt so hard.
Where TPM Placement is now
The work began with separation: TPM Placement needed its own identity, language, and presence. From there came the brand strategy, positioning, and a style guide that captured the firm’s tone—professional but approachable, confident without being loud. A website followed, built around the real questions advisory firms ask when they struggle to hire or retain staff.
A resource hub became the center of the content strategy. Rather than acting as a brochure, it served as quiet guidance for advisory firms navigating hiring decisions: when to bring on new staff, what roles actually do, how long searches should take, and why using a generalist recruiter often leaves firms disappointed.
For the first time, TPM Placement had a clear way to explain what it had been doing all along.
The result wasn’t a dramatic reinvention. It was something quieter but more essential: definition. The company now has visibility beyond referrals, a brand that matches its sophistication, and a structure to support growth without relying on word of mouth.
Today, TPM Placement stands as a distinct staffing company serving a tightly focused corner of the financial advisory world—one that now has a way to find them.
A website built to explain and scale,
A clear, standalone website that finally says the quiet part out loud: TPM Placement isn’t a generalist recruiter. It’s a niche partner built for financial advisory firms.

...that proves their expertise
in the field,
A complete resource hub that proves their expertise in the field and helps firms make smarter, lower-risk hiring decisions.
...shows off their business sophistication
The website reflects the seriousness of the work while still feeling human and approachable. What used to require a call or referral is now easy to understand the moment you land on the site.

...tells the real story behind the company,
It puts the people behind the business front and center—why they do this work, how they think, and what they value in long-term partnerships.
...and answers "What's in it for me?" for their prospects
The site spells out the real value of the partnership: fewer mis-hires, less compliance risk, and candidates who actually fit advisory firms.
